-PC/Mac
I’m not sure how this happened, but suddenly I have two very good RPGs to play on my Mac. Of course, I don’t have time to play either of them, but they’re both downloaded anyway, just in case. One of them is Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire which added turn-based combat support in a patch mid-January. The other is the one right up there in the headline. Divinity: Original Sin 2 has just been released for Mac.
Of course, Larian‘s epic RPG has been out for PC for quite some time now. I even mentioned in it last week’s Scry, having started playing it on my Windows machine because I was done waiting. One week later, and there you have it, a Mac version.
The Mac version is the same Definitive Edition that you’d get for Windows, only now it will be on my MacBook with much shittier graphics. Hmm…maybe I need to rethink this.
Anyway, if you owned or Kickstarted the PC version, the Mac version is now available as well for no extra coin. If you’re looking for a deep, character driven RPG with interesting tactical turn-based combat, it’s worth a look. There’s even a GM mode which, I assume, allows one person to Dungeon Master their friends through content. I haven’t looked into that, yet, but it’s there.
