iOS Universal, PC/Mac/Linux •
Still one of the best gamebook translations to the touchscreen, Warlock of Firetop Mountain just got even better with some new DLC that’s now available for the iOS version.
The Goblins Scourge has invaded the labyrinth of the mad wizard Zagor, and the new DLC lets you play as heroes charging through this new menace, or as the monsters themselves, hell bent on doing whatever the hell it is that monsters do when they’re not being thrashed by adventurers.
The pack includes three new heroes with new quests as well as a new goblin-filled location for them to fight their way through. It also includes 6 playable monsters, each with their own motivations for pummeling their way through the mountain. There’s even a new, streamlined version of the mountain where “death is permanent”. Not entirely sure what that means, but it’s quite dire nonetheless.
I’d love to tell you what the Goblin Scourge DLC costs on iOS, but I bought the season pass and the pack was downloaded automatically, preventing me from seeing the “buy” page. I’m sure I could figure out a method, but it’s Friday and I’m really lazy. I know, big surprise.
- Warlock of Firetop Mountain for iOS Universal, $5
- Warlock of Firetop Mountain for PC/Mac/Linux via Steam, $20
