Card Thief updates to version 1.1

It’s not often that we post about app updates unless they include some major new features or content, but here we are prattling on about an update to the excellent Card Thief which adds neither. It’s almost as if it’s been a slow news week or something.

So, we’re not getting any new use for Trash or new equipment in the 1.1 update for Card Thief, but that’s not to say that there’s nothing to get excited about. First of all, iCloud saves are in, so you can switch between your devices and keep your progress. There’s also stat tracking to keep track of your wins and losses.

On the gameplay side, Tinytouchtales have added an additional step when you’ve trapped yourself in the corner. Being terrible at life, I do this all the time, so it will be nice to have that extra step to get out of trouble or, more likely, get caught which will end the game unlike now when you can wind up in an untenable spot and you have to manually end the game.

+ Added: Statistics tracking
+ Changed: Thief can make one a additional move when the first card will end the game to avoid dead ends
+ Changed: Insignia drop chance increased
+ Changed: a new player will always start with the cloak in inventory
+ Fixed: Daily scores are now sorted correctly
+ Fixed: Monkey tapping the pause button
+ Fixed: Floaters beneath cards
+ Fixed: Game Center Achievements won’t be recognized

I have no idea what they mean by “monkey tapping the pause button” or “floaters beneath cards”, but I’ll take their word that they fixed them.

If you haven’t tried Card Thief yet, you’re missing out. The devs have already stated that this is only the first update, with more content laden stuff on the way. Get in at the ground floor.
