PC (now), Mac and Tablets (coming soon) • Back in January of 2017, Nick gave us a preview of an upcoming digital miniatures game, Wartile, and wouldn’t shut up about how great it was. We didn’t get a chance to play the game, but just looking at screenshots was enough to get us excited about what Playwood Project was working on. As of last week we can stop window shopping and actually try on this new dress because Wartile is now available on Steam.

Handelabra celebrates Sentinels birthday by going insane

iOS, Android, PC/Mac/Linux • As I mentioned yesterday, Handelabra has left their flagship title, Sentinels of the Multiverse, in the rear view mirror and is now focusing solely on…JUST KIDDING! Sentinels is still alive and well, and one of the best card game ports you’ll find on the App Store. It’s also celebrating its third birthday today, so Handelabra is having a sale. A crazy, ridiculous sale, so if you’re one of the few who hasn’t gotten on the Sentinels train yet–or just want to pick up more expansion content–now’s the time.

Galaxy Trucker celebrating ITTD with a new mission, more

iOS, Android, Windows Phone • If someone pinned me down, held a gun to my head and asked me to name the best mobile board game port ever created, I would have to say Galaxy Trucker (unless the person holding the gun to my head was Strangiato, in which case the answer is definitely Twilight Struggle). It manages to bring the feel of the tabletop version to the touchscreen while adding great single player and multiplayer extras that you just couldn’t do with a cardboard version. One of those tweaks is happening this weekend in celebration of International Tabletop Day. Czech Games Edition has added a new mission in which you can win real, cardboard copies of their games as well as putting the app on sale through Monday.

Holy Sectopods, XCOM: Enemy Within is only $3

iOS Universal, Android • One of the best games to land on our PCs in the last ten years became one of the best games ever ported over to an iPad back in 2013 when XCOM: Enemy Unknown arrived on the App Store in all its tense, heart-breaking glory. In 2014 it was superseded by XCOM: Enemy Within which added more stuff and a new way to ratchet up the tension by placing a pseudo-timer on each mission in the form of Meld. If you haven’t picked up XCOM: Enemy Within for mobile, first of all, shame on you. Secondly, go pick it up now; it’s only three frickin’ bucks.
